How Vouch works

Vouch helps you collect video from your people, turn it into content, and share it wherever your audience is.

Whether you’re showcasing your culture to candidates, sharing customer stories or keeping a distributed team connected, most work in Vouch follows the same path, and it starts with a project.

This guide walks through each stage so you know where things live and how they connect. If you’re ready to dive in, create your first project and come back here whenever you need a refresher.

The fastest way to work: Ask Vouch

Ask Vouch is the AI assistant built into Vouch, and it’s the quickest way to get things done at every stage below. Describe what you want in plain language and it does the work, from setting up a project and writing questions to finding clips and building content. You stay in control: Ask Vouch shows you what it’s done so you can review and adjust before anything is published.

Throughout this guide you’ll find example prompts for each stage. Use them as-is or adapt them to your own campaign.

Project

A project is a container for one campaign or piece of work, such as a graduate intake, a values campaign or a product launch. Each project has a due date and status, and holds everything related to that work: your requests, Syncs, the videos you collect and the content you create from them.

Starting with a project keeps your work organised from day one. Your team can see what’s running on the Calendar tab, who owns it, and how it’s progressing, and everything you make stays connected to the goal it was made for.

Try it with Ask Vouch: “Create a project called Grad Intake 2027, due 31 March, owned by me.”

Collect

There are three ways to gather video, and you can use any combination within a single project.

Requests let people record in their own time. You write a few questions, share a link, and contributors record on their phone or computer whenever suits them. Requests are ideal for collecting from lots of people at once, or from people in different locations and time zones.

Syncs are live recorded sessions with up to 6 people. They’re great for panel-style conversations, interviews, or capturing the natural back-and-forth that’s hard to get from solo recordings.

Uploads and imports bring in video you already have, so existing footage can sit alongside new recordings and be used in the same way.

Try it with Ask Vouch: “Add a request to Grad Intake 2027 asking recent graduates 3 questions about their first year.”

Library

Everything you collect lands in your library, with a transcript generated automatically. Transcripts make your videos searchable by what people actually said, so you can find the right moment without watching hours of footage. Add tags to group videos by theme, team, location or anything else that helps you find them later.

Your library grows over time into a reusable bank of authentic content, so a video recorded for one campaign can easily be put to work in the next.

Try it with Ask Vouch: “Find clips where people talk about flexible working.”

Create

Turn your clips into finished content, ready to share.

Playlists string videos together back to back, which is a quick way to share a collection of responses. Compositions are edited videos where you can trim clips, combine them and apply your branding for a polished result. Social tiles are formatted for social channels, so content is ready to post without extra editing.

Try it with Ask Vouch: “Build a 60-second composition from the best clips about team culture.”

Share

Publish your content wherever your audience is. Share a link in an email or message, display a QR code at events or on printed material, or embed videos on your careers site, intranet or website.

You can also distribute content through the advocacy portal, which makes it easy for employees to share approved content on their own networks, and the recruiter portal, which gives recruiters ready-made video to use with candidates.

Measure

See who watched, shared and engaged with your content. Use these insights to understand what resonates with your audience, which channels perform best, and where to focus your next campaign.
