The Vouch App for Slack integration is designed to allow organisations to better integrate Vouch with their key Internal Communications platform. As part of the integration, customers can receive updates within Slack whenever a new video is added to their Vouch account, watch Vouch videos natively within Slack, send video requests directly to colleagues on Slack and/or allow people to upload videos directly from Slack to their Vouch account.

The following guide outlines how to connect the two platforms and the various features.

Setup Integration

To setup the Vouch App for Slack, simply navigate to the Integrations page within your Vouch account and navigate to the Slack listing.

Click on Connect with Slack to start the authentication process.

The Vouch App for Slack will ask for permissions to access your Slack account. These permissions are necessary to provide real time updates to a selected Channel. To progress, simply click on Allow.

Next step in the process is to configure your application. The various configuration

Notify Vouch admin users when they share a Vouch request	Provide a notification in Slack when a Request invitation has been sent and when a request has been responded to.
Notify team members when they are sent a Vouch request	Provide a notification in Slack when an individual has been invited to take part in a Request.

Notifications

The Vouch for Slack app can publish notifications to a channel of your choosing whenever a new video (Recording, Upload, Response, Import) is added to your Vouch workspace.

Add Slack App to a Channel

To add the Slack App to a Channel in Vouch, simply click on the channel you want to add it to, open the channel settings and click on the Integration tab.

From here you can click on Add apps under the Apps header and then select Vouch.

Once you have added the Vouch App, you can go back into Integrations and select the channel(s) you have added the app to.

Customisation Options

Vouch offers the following customisation options around the notification feature.

Enable the video player	Show the Vouch Media Player or an Animated GIF

Video Player

For customers who have installed the Vouch for Slack app, there is the opportunity to enable the Vouch Video Player to work natively within the application.

To enable this, customers will want to ensure they have enabled the following two configuration options:

• Enable the video player
• Unfurl links to video

Once enabled, the Vouch video player will load both whenever someone shares the URL to a Playlink and whenever any notifications are posted to Slack.

Request Invitations

For customers who have installed the Vouch for Slack app and have enabled notify team members when they are sent a Vouch request, Vouch will automatically send them an alert within Slack for any request that have been invited to participate in.

The alerts will come via the Vouch app, and will include who invited them and a link to the respective request. Vouch will also send reminders to the user via Slack.

Vouch knows who to send the invite to based upon the email address associated with the invited contact in the Vouch platform.

Upload from Slack

The Vouch for Slack app allows for companies to allow any user from within their Slack account to upload videos to Vouch, allowing them to take advantage of Vouch’s management and distribution features, as well allowing them to use Vouch AI to generate summaries, transcripts and relevant AI highlights.

Once enabled, for a user to access all they need to do is click on the overflow menu on any Vouch video and then click on Upload to Vouch. If they cannot see the option, they just need to click on More message shortcuts to find the option.

For the first time they use the feature, they will need to grant Vouch the right to upload the video on their behalf. Employees using this feature do not require a Vouch user account.
