Record a Video
Vouch empowers you to capture spontaneous video and screen recordings which can then be shared through the platform. The following guide will outline how to start recording.
Start Recording
Start a new recording by clicking the Record video button on your dashboard or the Create button in the main menu. You will then be prompted to select either a video recording or a screen recording.
Video recording
For video recordings, your browser will first ask for permission to use your camera and microphone.
After granting access, you can prepare your session by writing notes, setting up the teleprompter, choosing your inputs, and applying background effects. When you're ready, click Record to start.
A countdown will appear on screen just before the recording begins. While recording, you can pause the session or click stop at any time to finish.
After you stop recording, you can preview your video. If it isn't quite right, simply click re-record. You can record as many takes as you need and then select your favourite one. When you're satisfied with a take, click Save Recording to add the final version to your library.
Screen recording
When you select Screen Recording, your browser will first ask for permission to access your camera and microphone. This is required to enable the optional picture-in-picture camera view.
After granting permission, you can choose which screen, window, or tab you want to record. To record only your screen without the camera overlay, simply disable your camera using the control in the bottom-right corner.
Once you press Choose Screen or Record, you will be given the option to pick whether to record a specific tab, window or screen. As soon as you select what you wish to record, the Recorder will redirect you to that view and countdown.
To stop recording, either click the Stop button in Vouch or use your browser's Stop Sharing control. You can then preview your video on the review screen.
If you're not satisfied, click Re-record. You can record unlimited takes and select your favourite. Once you have a version you like, click Save Recording to add it to your library.
