Transcripts & translations

Every video in Vouch gets an automatic transcript. Transcripts power search, captions, quotes and Ask Vouch, so a quick check pays off.

• View a transcript: open the video and select the Transcript tab.
• Correct a transcript: click Edit transcription. If a transcript is badly wrong, use File, then Retranscribe.
• Improve accuracy up front: add names and terms in AI settings, then Custom dictionary. Responders' names and organisations are added automatically.
• Language and translation: set the transcript language (or auto-detect) and turn on Translation in a request's Language tab, or for the whole workspace in Recorder settings, then Language settings. For viewers, see Dynamic closed caption translations.

Why it matters: Ask Vouch builds playlists and compositions from transcript quotes, so errors in the transcript become errors in the clip.
