Web embeds - Dynamic closed caption translations
Vouch web embeds now include integrated support for AI-driven closed caption translations, allowing viewers to read captions in their preferred language in real time.
How it works
When a viewer watches your embedded Vouch video, they can select from over 25 languages to view captions translated on the fly. The AI generates these translations just-in-time, so there's no need to manually create caption files for each language.
Supported languages
Captions can be translated into the following languages:
- Arabic
- Chinese (Simplified)
- Chinese (Traditional)
- Czech
- Danish
- Dutch
- English
- Finnish
- French
- German
- Greek
- Hebrew
- Hindi
- Hungarian
- Indonesian,
- Italian
- Japanese
- Korean
- Malay
- Norwegian
- Polish
- Portuguese
- Romanian
- Russian
- Spanish
- Swedish
- Thai.
Configuring caption settings
You can customise the caption experience for each embed individually through the Share settings panel. The following options are available:
- Available languages : Control which languages appear in the language selector. Use this to restrict options to specific regions or audience needs, rather than showing all 25+ languages.
- Default captions language : Set which language captions should display in when the video first loads. This is useful when you know your primary audience's language preference.
- Language selector visibility : Toggle whether viewers can see and access the language selector control. When hidden, captions will display only in the default language you've set.
