Advanced Editor

The Vouch Advanced Editor is an extension of the Vouch Editing experience, designed to provide Vouch users with additional editing functionality. The advanced editor is useful for customers who wish to have greater control over their video layouts, offering mutli-layer editing, overlays, custom transitions and more.

Open Advanced Editor

The Advanced Editor is accessible via the standard Vouch Editor experience. To open the Advanced Editor simply click on the option located in the top right hand corner.

Once you click on Advanced Editor, Vouch will automatically duplicate any Video or Playlist you were previously in, and convert it so it works with the new editing experience. Note: Any video created in Advanced Editor, cannot be edited in the standard Vouch Editing experience.

Add a Video

To add a video in the Advanced Editor, simply open the Library tab on the left hand side and find the video or playlist from the menu that you wish to add. To add it to the editor, simply drag the video over the video canvas in the editor.

Your video will be added to the multi-layer editor timeline, where you can choose to move it around.

Extract elements from a Template

In scenarios where you have previously applied a template to a video or playlist before opening it within the Advanced Editor, it is possible to extract the elements that make up the template.

To do this, simply click on the scene where you’d like to extract the elements from and click on the extract elements button.

Once clicked, each of the elements that make up the template will be broken into separate layers on the multi-layer editor, allowing you to move each item around and edit the settings.

Apply a Transition

To apply a transition, you need to have two video scenes next to each other on the multi-layer editor. Where the two scenes connect a + button will be made visible which you can click to add a transition.

By default, the transition titled Fade will be applied, however you can choose a different transition from the Transition menu on the right hand menu. You can also choose to customize the duration of the transition.

Once added, you can see how the transition looks in real time in the media player.

Add a Text Overlay

To add a text overlay, select the Text option from the left hand menu. From here you will be presented with the various text recipes available in the advanced editor. To add this overlay to your video, drag your preferred recipe from the menu onto the video canvas.

Once added you will be able to see the the text overlay on the video canvas. The overlay will also be represented as a layer in the multi-layer timeline editor.

To edit the text overlay, click on the Settings option on the right hand menu. Here you can choose to customise items such as the colour, font, size and more.

Add B-Roll

To add B-Roll, simply find the video clips you wish to add to your project from within the Library and drag it onto the video canvas. Once added it will be represented as a new layer on the multi-layer editor.

From here you can choose to split, crop and move around the B-Roll footage to appear where you would like it within the project. You can also edit the settings relating to the video, including adjusting the sound for the specific scene and the speed of the video.

Publishing your Video

In order to share a video created in the Advanced Editor, you will need to Publish the video first. Select Publish from the top right hand menu in order to start the publishing process.
